Thursday 1st October, 6pm-730pm EST (Online Seminar)

In 1996, Michael decided to renovate his inner-city Sydney terrace and make it almost entirely self-sufficient in terms of energy, water and waste disposal.  In 2015, he disconnected his house from the electricity poles and wires and has documented his experience in two published books.  Come along and hear Michael talk about his experience, the pitfalls and how you too can make your urban home more independent.

Building an Earthship: An Inspiring Story of Rebuilding After Bushfires

Daryl Taylor shares his ambitious journey of building an earthship after fires destroyed his original property in Victoria’s Kinglake.

Daryl Taylor lost his home in the firestorm that destroyed most of Victoria’s Kinglake in February 2009.

On that day, 173 lives were lost and more than 3,500 buildings destroyed. Following the fires many people left the community.

Off-Grid Living Magazine

The Off-Grid Living Festival Magazine is a gift to (you!) our audience while at home in various degrees of lock-down. It is also a way for us to raise funds to help keep the festival alive after the restrictions caused us to cancel this years event at the last minute, which we were happy to do so, given the circumstance. The full festival program is now on hold until next year (April 10-11th 2021) and we hope that this glimpse into the diversity of the festival, with articles from 38 of our 200 exhibitors will inspire you from the comfort of your lounge.
So crank-up the fire, grab yourself a hot cuppa and enjoy flicking through this beautiful 98 page magazine of off-grid inspiration!

OPTIONAL DONATIONS: Times are tough for many at the moment, so if you can’t spare even a dollar, that okay and we hope that you will enjoy reading the magazine for free. But if you think it’s great and are in a position to donate, please show your support from this link below. Even $1 or $2 dollars helps. xxxooo

New Natural Building Website

A new website is being developed which will combine all natural building workshops, events, seminars and provide information for volunteering and how to hire a professional to help you build and realise your natural building dream.

We need your support to help get this website off the ground!

All natural building professionals and providers are encouraged to get behind this website project and sign up for a subscription

To help this project along any donations are most welcome and will be beneficial for all involved as it will function as a one-stop-shop for all natural building events, people and opportunities across Australia
